Delete your Fasal account

You can ask us to delete your Fasal account at any time, whether you are a parent or a tutor. We will delete your account and everything in it after 7 days. Until then you can change your mind.

In the app

Open Fasal and sign in.
Parents: go to Profile. Tutors: go to Account.
At the bottom, tap Delete my account, then Ask to delete my account.

The app then shows the date after which we will delete it. To keep your account instead, tap Keep my account on the same screen before that date.

Without the app

If you cannot sign in any more, email hello@fasal.app from the email address on your account, with the subject Delete my Fasal account. We confirm by reply and delete the account after 7 days, the same as a request made in the app.

What is deleted

Your profile: name, email, phone number, suburb and city, and your sign-in.
For parents: your children's details and your saved tutors.
For tutors: your photo, your ID and certificates, your references, your checks and badges, and your free hours.
Your lessons, lesson reports and reviews.
Your messages and conversations, and any safety reports you made or that were made about you.
Your notifications, notification settings and the phones registered for alerts.

The other person in a lesson or a conversation loses their copy of it too. Our internal log of actions the Fasal team took keeps a line that something happened, with your name removed.

Payments

Lesson fees are paid by M-Pesa, so every payment is also recorded by M-Pesa, outside Fasal: on your own M-Pesa statement and on Fasal's. Deleting your Fasal account does not change those statements. They are kept by M-Pesa under its own terms.

When

A member of the Fasal team deletes the account once the 7 days are up. We wait so that a request made by mistake, or by someone else on your phone, can be undone. If you want it done sooner, email hello@fasal.app from the address on your account and we will do it straight away. Deletion cannot be undone.
